The 5500PACA Programmable Automation Controller (PAC, Clipsal PAC) is an advanced logic controller for use on Clipsal C-Bus home automation networks. It can perform both simple and complex calculations, advanced combinations of conditional events, automation control and real-time scheduling and even protocol conversions.

Based on the standard PASCAL computer language, the programming language used in the PAC has been further enhanced with the specific commands required for C-Bus control. The automation controller language supports more standard PASCAL commands such as AND, OR, IF, THEN, etc but also automation functions such as the monitoring and control of C-Bus Groups, C-Bus Scenes, C-Bus Tags and Serial commands RS-232.

Like many other C-Bus logic products such as Colour Touch Screens or the Clipsal Wiser Home Automation Controller, the PAC is configured and programmed with the Clipsal 'PICED' (Programming Interface for C-Bus Embedded Devices*) configuration software, freely downloadable from the Clipsal CIS web site. *MS Windows® compatible

The PAC is housed in the usual C-Bus four module width DIN Rail mounted unit.

Please Note that before The C-Bus Pascal Automation Controller can become an operational unit on a C-Bus network, it has to be programmed with the Windows® compatible PICED configuration software. Clipsal/Schneider Electric's manufacturers warranty may be voided if the unit is not programmed by a Nous House (or other suitably qualified) installer.
